We use the grade system same as Finland big factories and standard. Usually,We use two kinds of face veneer for our birch plywood, one is thin face veneer as 0.30-0.35mm, another is thicker face birch veneer as 1.20-1.50mm.

Quality Control:

We have 15 QC teams to inspection such as moisture control, glue inspection both before production and after production, material grade selection, pressing checking, and thickness checking.

Grade as following:

Face/back veneer 1.2~1.5mm(Finland Baltic Standard) B--S--BB--CP--C
B ( Ⅰ)GradeThe Highest Grade,Unfilled,sanded veneer in which no plugs are allowed,no splices, no patchesFew small open knots and hair cracks,small mineral streaks may exist,Natural discolouring is marginally allowed.
S ( Ⅰ)GradeThe "S" Grade is a middle grade between "B"and "BB" Gradeinclude 0-3 colour-selected wooden plugs on S-side.Plugs show are batwing shapes
BB(Ⅲ) Grade unfilled and sanded veneer to which repairs by means of plugs are allowed.3-6 small color-matched patches on average and some light mineral streaksTight pin knots may be present.along with small, closed splits. Color variations are allowedPlugs show are batwing shapes
CP((Ⅲ/WG+) GradeThe "CP" Grade are downgraded from ”BB“ ; grade veneers, which allow for unlimited patches and sound knots, Open splits and checks up to 4mm wide. Discolouration, streaks, roughness, glue penetration and plugs permitted
C (Ⅳ/WG)GradeIn addition to all before mentioned flaws, this grade of veneer may include larger deficienciesPatches, open knots, and small veneer splits allowed. Veneer lap and small core voids permitted.
